Bush of moderate growth with minor thorns.

Berries are moderate size (0.7-0.8 g) of oval shape, dark-orange.

Taste is sweet-sour. It has moderate pedicle with moderate tear-off force.

Ripening period is the beginning of September.

Directions of utilization: mostly for processing.

The variety has been selected at Lisavenko Institute in 1987 from hybridization progeny of Scherbinki-1 x Katun ecotype.

Bush of moderate growth without thorns.

Berries are moderate size (0.8-0.9 g) of cylindrical shape, orange colored.

Taste is sour. It has long pedicle with moderate tear-off force.

Ripening period is the middle of September.

Directions of utilization: mostly for processing.

Advantages: large berries size, dense fruit pulp.

Disadvantages: hard to say...

Summary... We have it only in collection. It seems that comparatively large berries size and dense fruit pulp could be interesting for industry. Unfortunately it is not under propagation.

VITAMINNAYA

The variety has been selected at Lisavenko Institute in 1974 from seedlings obtained from free pollination of Katun ecotype.

Bush is vigorous, branches without thorns.

Berries are small size (0.5-0.6 g) of roundish shape, orange colored.

Taste is sour. It has moderate pedicle with moderate tear-off force.

Ripening period is the beginning of September.

Directions of utilization: mostly for processing.

Advantages: hard to say.

Disadvantages: hard to say...

Summary... It is one of the oldest variety and represented only in collection. Not under propagation.

GNOM

Male variety.

The variety has been selected at Lisavenko Institute in 1997 from hybridization progeny of Vitaminnaya x Chulyshman ecotype.

Bush is compact, completely without thorns.

The buds are extremely winter-resistant that provides annual pollination even after severe winters.

Advantages: High winter resistance, thornlessness, compact crown.

Disadvantages: Susceptibility to fusarium wilt.

Summary... Gnom is the second of two male varieties in collection of Lisavenko Institute. It is suitable both for big and small plantations. Unfortunately the variety has only moderate tolerance to fusarium wilt, but nevertheless is very popular.

This variety is available for purchasing in big amount (10-12 thousand plants per year). Contact us for more details.

The variety has been selected at Lisavenko Institute in 1965 from seedlings obtained from free pollination of Katun ecotype.

Bush of moderate growth, branches has minor thorns.

Taste is sour. It has short pedicle with moderate tear-off force.

Ripening period is the beginning of September.

Directions of utilization: mostly for processing.

Advantages: hard to say.

Disadvantages: small berries size.

Summary... It is the oldest variety in the world and represented only in collection. Not under propagation. Only for history.

DZHEMOVAYA

The variety has been selected at Lisavenko Institute in 1999 within seedlings of free pollination of Prevoshodnaya.

Bush of compact growth without thorns.

Berries are moderate size (0.6-0.8 g) of oval shape, orange-red.

Taste is sweet-sour. It has short pedicle with moderate tear-off force.

Ripening period is the end of August - beginning of September.

Directions of utilization: mostly for processing.

Advantages: large berries size for red colored varieties, thornlessness.

Disadvantages: Low efficiency at handpicking.

Summary... Actually at the moment variety is not under propagation, mainly because of low efficiency at handpicking. However it was extremely interesting in former times in processing, provides high quality products.
